Horsemanship
Learn to Lead!
I believe in becoming the best horseman I can be.
I believe in keeping it natural for the horse.
Horsemanship is about causing your ideas to become the horse's
ideas, without force.
Anyone can MAKE a horse do something, but when the horse WANTS
to be with you and do things for you, then you know you're on the
right track.
Having a deep understanding of the equine mind allows you to read
the horse's emotional state and quickly resolve problems. This
understanding also allows you to create a strong bond with the horse
and achieve higher levels of communication.
I don't just teach riding lessons,
I help people with their horse/human relationships (horsemanship).
Is your horse hard to catch?
Difficult to bridle or trailer load?
Dominant?
Unconfident?
Does he see you as a trusted, loved leader?
Do you know how to speak "horse"?
Can you ride bridleless?
Take your horsemanship skills to the next level!
I've been studying natural horsemanship for 12 years now, my
mentors being Pat Parelli, Ray Hunt, Buck Brannaman, and Dennis
Reis among others. I've had to change a lot about myself to be better
suited to understand horses, and to be able to communicate and solve
problems in a way that builds confidence in the horse rather than
taking it away.
If you are interested in becoming a better human for your horse,
contact me and let's talk about issues you may be having.
Happy Trails,
Joel Means
