Natural Hoofcare
UNDERSTANDING
NATURAL HOOFCARE/BAREFOOT TRIMMING

As a natural hoofcare provider, a natural horsemanship enthusiast, and an
advocate of all things natural to the horse,
I'm amazed and saddened by the vast amount of myths, misconceptions,
misinformation, and outright lies about the true nature of the
horse....especially their hooves!
The information that can help bring hoofcare science out of the dark ages
is readily available, though generally not accepted by mainstream farriers
or veterinarians...the very professionals we trust to have accurate and up
to date information when dealing with our horses!
This is the 21st century...we can do better!
This is my horse's hoof, four weeks after trimming.
He lives on rocky, dry terrain. His diet is simple,
and he is able to move and forage all day.
His hooves reflect the natural forces acting upon
them- he's comfortable being ridden on any terrain.

If you are interested in learning about natural
hoofcare and the natural trim,
I am offering one or two day private sessions.
These teaching sessions are designed to give you
the foundation needed to trim your horses, and to
help people who are already trimming do it in a
way that is natural and therapeutic for the horse. I
focus on a holistic approach to hoofcare.
Private or semi-private sessions can be scheduled
at your convenience.
